Privacy Policy

Dearly ("we", "us") operates a connector for Meta's Muse assistant that lets a user send physical postcards, flowers, and occasion-aware gifts to people they choose. This policy covers the data the Dearly connector processes to do that.
Who we are
Dearly is an individual-operated project. Contact: [email protected].
Dearly never talks to you directly
Muse is the only interface a user has with Dearly. We do not send email, SMS, or push notifications, and we have no separate login, app, or website that collects data from you directly — everything below is collected because Muse, acting on the user's instructions, sends it to our API.
What we collect
| Data | Why | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Recipient name and postal address | To print/mail a postcard or ship a gift | Entered by the user via Muse, confirmed back to them before use |
| Occasion details (kind, date, timezone) | To calculate when a reminder is due | Entered by the user via Muse |
| Postcard message, chosen image, typography | To produce the physical item | Entered/generated by the user via Muse |
| Payment amounts and a payment-provider reference | To charge for and reconcile an order | Generated when a user approves a charge — Dearly never stores card numbers; Stripe holds those and we only keep its transaction reference |
| Gift/flower product selection | To place the order with our fulfilment partner | Entered by the user via Muse |
We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
Strictly to fulfil an order the user approved:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe, not Dearly, handles cardholder data.
- PostGrid — printing and mailing postcards. Receives the recipient's address and the postcard content.
- Goody — sourcing and shipping flowers/gifts. Receives the recipient's address and the selected product.
Each is a data processor acting on our instructions, not an independent user of the data.
Recipients are not our users
The person receiving a postcard or gift did not sign up for Dearly and cannot access our systems. Their address and name are used solely to fulfil that one delivery. A recipient with questions about their data can reach us at the contact above.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and dispute-handling purposes. A draft or quote that never becomes an order is not retained long-term.
Your rights
As a Muse user, you can:
- Export everything tied to your account, on request through Muse.
- Delete everything tied to your account permanently, on request through Muse.
Where we operate
Dearly currently accepts US recipients and USD only.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above. Since Dearly has no direct communication channel with you outside Muse, we recommend checking back periodically.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. If you reside somewhere that grants you mandatory consumer protections which cannot be waived by agreement, this section does not limit those protections.
